Tawengwa number one in South Africa BNL for round 11

Forward Joshua Tawengwa (192-F) had an amazing evening in the last round for top-ranked Mpumalanga Rhinos, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for round 11.
The player was the main contributor (29 points, five rebounds) to his team's victory, helping them to beat FS Warriors (#7, 0-4), the league's bottom-ranked team 77-64. It allowed Rhinos to consolidate first place in the South African BNL. They maintain a perfect record without any lost game in the league. The season is still on an early stage, but M.Rhinos already had a very good start winning all 4 without losing a single one. In the team's last game Tawengwa had a remarkable five three-pointers out of 8 attempts. He has many years of experience at Rhinos, through which he has constantly improved. Joshua Tawengwa has solid league stats. He is in league's top in points (4th best: 16.7ppg) and averages impressive 1.7bpg and 4.0spg.

The second best player in last round's games was another M.Rhinos' star - young Vusi Sibeko (G-1991). Sibeko had a very good evening with a double-double of 15 points and 15 rebounds. Of course together with Tawengwa he helped Mpumalanga Rhinos with another comfortable win 77-64 over FS Warriors (#7, 0-4) being unquestionably team leader. Of course Rhinos still keep Group A's top spot. A very good start of the season for his team, which won so far all 4 games without any defeat. Sibeko is one of the most experienced players at Rhinos and similarly like Joshua Tawengwa has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players. He belongs to the best scorers in the league with 13.0ppg (#9). He also registered 13.5 boards per game.

Third on the list of top players last round was forward Job Mashwabathi (195-PF) of Free State Warriors (#7). Mashwabathi scored 13 points and grabbed 8 rebounds. Despite Mashwabathi's great performance the Warriors lost 64-77 to the league's current leader M.Rhinos (#1, 4-0). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. FS Warriors can only dream about fighting for top spots in Group A. They have awful season losing so far all 4 games. Mashwabathi has a very solid season. In 4 games in South Africa he scored 8.5ppg.
